Step1:

Go to this site http://www.alexa.com/siteowners/claim Then create a account.

Now you login your account. If you don’t like to create a new accout you can login from face book account.

Step2:

Now you Go to alexa site owner page. And then enter your blog/website url Hit then the get started Button.

On the next page will shows the all the plans of alexa website. Being a blogger I strongly recommented to select a free palan.You have to select the signup button under the free plan.

After click the signup button you will see the two option for claim your site on alexa.

Step5:

Option1: You have to use this option If it is easy for upload a file to root directory on your blog Using FTP file transfer program.

You should not claim your site using first option. Most of the blogging software s crate automatically and then it will not allow to upload your file.

Option2:alexa verification id:

You have to claim your site using alexa verification id. The verification id needs to added to the <head> of your website.
